I’m still looking for some manner of wall art to go above my TV. Nothing has caught my eye just yet.
What a cool idea for artwork—and it isn’t terribly expensive. Not sure about where to get a big frame, though.
This is on order. I guess I do have a little bit of a TV collection—I have the original promotional flyer for House framed right now, and that’ll be coming with me.
Austrian designer Albert Exergian created a series of minimalist promotional posters for a number of iconic TV shows, and Blanka in the UK is producing a limited run of giclee prints of them. This is the BOUO (ball of unknown origin) from house—as soon as it clicked in my head, I adored it, and I have to get this as well as a few others (the 30 Rock one is similarly befuddling-but-amazing).
The movers smudged my print of this when I moved into my current apartment. There are fingerprints all over it. Sigh.
A friend won one of these at an auction and I really like the concept—it appeals to my design aesthetic too, not to mention that a print like this would be totally unique to me. Something worth considering.
